All entries must be submitted for judging by 5pm on the 23rd June 2009.

 

Entries:
Entries can be sent in by individuals or teams from any educational context including home education, state or private secondary schools, further education colleges, special schools, PRUs or alternative education (NEET) provision.

Three entrants will be short-listed from each of the categories above. In addition three entries will be selected from young people with Special Education Needs (SEN).

 

The Judges will be looking for:

  • The clarity of your message
  • The creativity and presentation of your message
  • The presentation of positive and achievable suggestions for changes in education in the UK.

Instructions for uploading your film to the Yourstudentvoice YouTube Channel.

  1. You will first need to sign up for an account with YouTube, in the same way YouTube advises. You may already have done this in which case you can use your existing account.
  2. Upload your film onto YouTube using your account.
  3. Once you have uploaded your film… below the film will be a button titled Share. Click on this.
  4. This will then give you the option to ‘send this video from YouTube’ with a white box below.
  5. In the white box you need to type: yourstudentvoice
  6. This will direct your film to the www.youtube.com/yourstudentvoice YouTube page where we will be notified that a new film has been uploaded. We will then check that it does not feature any offensive material etc, approve it and it will be visible on the page and entered into the competition.
  7. Make sure you also fill out an application form and send it to video@studentvoice.co.uk.
